GEMRC 2020


The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Graduate School in partnership with the Philippine Social Science Journal and Student Council invite all graduating RBGS students, thesis and dissertation writers, and faculty members to join the 1st Graduate Education Multidisciplinary Research Conference (GEMRC 2020) on March 30-31, 2020 at the University President's Hall. The conference theme is “Bridging the Gap between Practice and Theory.”

Participated by graduate school students and interested faculty across disciplines, the activity aims to enhance the culture of research of the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School and develop research competence and confidence for the participants. The conference will feature research papers and posters which cover topics on education, health, business, public administration and governance, psychology, guidance and counseling, criminal justice, and social science.

The submission of abstracts will be from January 25 until March 14, 2020.  Abstracts must be 500-700 words. Abstract is a succinct, clear, and comprehensive summary of the paper. It must be 150 words with five keywords. It must contain a brief introduction, methods used, salient results, conclusion, and its potential outcomes or contribution. Keywords must contain four parts: the discipline of the study, concepts investigated, method/process, and geographic location of the study, country, and continent.

All abstracts will be subjected to peer review and will be published in the Conference Proceeding. GEMRC 2020 accepts abstracts of full paper or completed proposals of thesis/dissertation for presentation.

The conference fee is Php1,600.00 which is inclusive of lunches, snacks, certificates, attendance in the plenary and parallel sessions, and conference kit. Pay at the University Accounting Office and present the official receipt of payment to RBGS Office to confirm your attendance on or before March 14, 2020.

Plenary Speaker: Dr. Enrique Oracion, Research Director of Silliman University
